I grew up in Leduc Alberta, I spent most of my childhood playing sports. Swimming, Football and Basketball as I got older my focus narrowed to just basketball and by the 9th grade it was my only sport. Play sports as a kid leads to lots of bumps, bruises and the occasionally brake or sprain in various areas of the body. When ever I would get hurt after I had some time to calm down about it my dad was always hand me a copy of "You Can Heal Your Body" by Louise Hay. I was always amazed to see some of the content she had written in this book and how it related to what i was feeling/experiencing in my life and how it showed up in my body. This mind body connection always had my interest but I would only talk about it with select people for fear of being different or weird. As I got older and actually decided to read the book rather then just flip to the body parts pages I started to feel that the book was missing more information that I was looking for. I continued to use the book throughout high school or sports injuries and colds. As high school wrapped up and I began to transition from student to worker, I got a really bad ear infection well working my first job that compounded into tinnitus in both ears, I religiously came back to "You Can Heal Your Body" but my ear/hearing did not get better. I was angry with the book and felt like it was letting me down but I still kept a copy around. I also started to study Reiki to get another view point on the body from an energetic prospective. Surely Reiki and the magical book could help me out! Sadly it did not give me the result I was looking for. I moved to Calgary to attend SAIT and over the year I was there I lost roughly 25 pounds. I continued to use my book and thought it would help fix my symptoms but again I was let down. I continued to to play basketball and exercise well I was there and I thought I could fix my problems with eating more to gain the wait back. This did not help, in fact I lost 5 more pounds well eating "more". After having my health deteriorate right under my feet well using this book I felt helpless. I eventually found my way into an appointment with a "Medical Intuitive" and she recommended I try a "BodyTalk" session.
After spending the last 2 years learning about BodyTalk I finally got the answer's I thought where missing from the "You Can Heal your Body: book. BodyTalk has help me understand and grasp on an intellectual level the mind body connection and how it plays a role into someone's health through a theory called "Downward Causation" pictured below. Now I work as a BodyTalk practitioner and a Conscious Living Investigation (CLI) Instructor to aid other's in figuring it out as well.
I currently offer regular in person and group sessions in Leduc, or offer distance session to those who cannot attend in person. As well as coordinate BodyTalk access classes in Leduc and teach "Introduction to CLI" throughout Western Canada.
