I first found out about BodyTalk at a very low point in my health in 2017. My first session was done in a distance style, I didn't know what to expect or how it worked but getting a session was highly recommend to me by a friend. Initially I thought if performed often enough, BodyTalk could help anyone with anything. My idea was that I would get regular session until my symptoms would disappear. Over my first year of receiving sessions I would get 1 or 2 a month. I thought if I got more sessions I could get more done, just like going to the gym more often or going to get frequent massages. I saw some results but it was never enough, no matter what came up in the session even if it was a really big light bulb moment. I always felt like if all my symptoms didn't disappear right away that the session was a dud. For most of 2017 and 2018, I continued to receive 1 to 2 sessions a month waiting for the massive cataclysmic shift to happen that would rock my world and make everything better. I thought BodyTalk was meant to deliver this earth shattering change in my life and I was always expecting the next big rush. While attending courses for BodyTalk training, I started to hear more and more people talk about "BodyTalk Access". It was a class I had been avoiding because it seemed like the baby class for people who didn't want to go the practitioner route. Boy was I wrong, I attended the class and started to perform the routine daily over the course of the next year, and for several months I stopped receiving regular sessions and just performed the BodyTalk access routine. The biggest thing I got out of taking BodyTalk Access was that due to our mind reacting to stress, our body defaults into the Fear/Fight/Flight (FFF) mode of our nervous system and as this FFF nervous system compounds over time, the communication between our different body systems begins to break down leading to pain, symptoms and eventually disease. Performing the BodyTalk Access routine daily and receiving BodyTalk sessions helps the body to re-establish communication between all the areas of your body, synchronize the communication to ensure that everything is communicating in the right order and finally balance the body.
BodyTalk to me is truly a consciousness based health care system that examines the body from the largest aspects of our environment, to the smallest parts of our body on the quantum level and how these aspects interact with our mind and our belief systems. When the mind is full of belief systems, it leads us to try and control every aspect of our lives either consciously or subconsciously to suit our own internal rules for life. The more we try to control all aspects of our life we develop ways to view life, viewpoints that conform to our own internal rules. We either modify our own behavior or try putting rules on someone else to suit our own. When we try this strategy over and over and start to realize control isn't as easy as we initially thought, we get caught up in over or under reactions because our own internal rules are being broken. These situations are trying to highlight to us we are ready to change, but instead we get fearful or angry and begin to blame external things like our job, spouse/partner, weather, food, etc. These over/under reactions show us the stressful state we are in all the time. While we try to cope and manage our way through these over/under reactions, communication breaks down in the systems within our body and leads to pain, symptoms and disease. BodyTalk helps to explore these over/under reactions and works to help resolve the internal conflict. Only once the inner conflict of the over/under reactions are resolved can some state of balance or homeostasis be achieved.
